Lady Gaga Goes Gothic for MAC Viva Glam

If there’s one thing to love about Lady Gaga, it’s that she doesn’t let mainstream brands dilute her image. This month she’s pushing the limits as Vogue’s covergirl and the face of MAC Viva Glam—not to mention causing chaos at the Grammy’s.
In the leadup to her campaign launch, Gaga has released an artistic video that’s beautifully eery and kind of gothic. It’s definitely a step away from MAC’s usual overt glamour. But don’t think she’s doing it all for show, Gaga is working with MAC on a campaign to bring awareness to AIDS and HIV starting March 17. MAC Introduces Viva Glam Cyndi and Viva Glam Gaga Lipsticks

These beautiful lipsticks hit counters a few weeks ago and the packaging adorned with Cyndi and Gaga’s autographes are the perfect touch. As a cool-toned pink girl, I’m gravitating to Viva Glam Gaga, but I think the Viva Glam Cyndi is a flattering soft red with a warm tone. I see that one looking great on many women.
What do you think of the new additions to the Viva Glam line? I’m always going to be partial to Viva Glam V, but these are refreshingly unique.

One hundred percent of proceeds are slated for the MAC AIDS Fund.
The advertising campaign, called “From Our Lips,” will begin on Feb. 25, reports WWD.
